About Us

The Heart of Texas CPSO is a division of the Texas Creative Problem Solving Organization (TXCPSO). Currently, the Texas CPSO is the largest affiliate of the national organization, as well as the global organization, Destination Imagination.

Our region covers much of Central Texas; more specifically, the counties of Bell, Burnet, Coryell, Falls, Lampasas, Limestone, McLennan and Williamson. All public, private, charter and parochial schools, home school programs and other educational organizations located within the boundaries of those counties are invited to participate in Destination Imagination. Also included are any groups of students residing within the boundaries of those counties who wishes to participate that would form an "Independent" team.

To participate in Destination Imagination, each school or group of students forms one or more teams which are tasked with solving a variety of mentally challenging, exciting, critical thinking problems. Ultimately, students will present their creative solutions to those challenges in a competitive environment within our region. With success, students have opportunities to present those solutions at the subsequent levels of competition.
