IMPORTANT INFORMATION for Team Challenge Video Solutions

There have been several questions about the filming of team challenges for tournament submission. After discussion with Texas DI, here is what is expected of the HoT team submissions as of today, January 25, 2021 through the end of the HoT DI Virtual Tournament on February 27, 2021.

The HoT Regional DI Tournament this year is an all VIRTUAL tournament. In following the Rules of the Road General Safety Guideline, Travis/Williamson County Health departments have listed these counties as currently at Stage 5 (Travis) and Stage Red (WIlliamson). During these stages, groups of people who are not living in the same household should NOT be together in social situations. As to make the tournament equitable for all teams, we are asking that all teams in the HoT region follow these submission guidelines.

Therefore, the team challenge submission for the HoT region this year will need to follow these parameters. So this means we will follow the same rules of submission as DII has stated for all team Virtual Instant Challenges So no two team members may be in the same physical room during the team’s virtual Team Challenge video solution AND no two team members may be in the same window. A window is defined as an area in the virtual Team Challenge video solution that shows the video feed from one camera.
